نجا المفكر الفلسطيني علي ابو خطاب "علي طوبي "من محاولة انتحار اثناء وجوده في القاهرة ٬حيث يخضع لعلاج نفسي منذ حوالي شهرين بسبب ازمة نفسية مرضية حادة .
المفكر ابو خطاب في العناية المركزة حاليا حيث يخضع للعلاج والمتابعة المستمرة ٬ وعند سؤالنا عن اسباب محاولة الانتحار افادنا صديقه الذي نقله للمستشفي ورفض ذكر اسمه ٬انه السلطات النرويجية رفضت منحه استثناء لمواصلة علاجه الصحي في القاهرة حيث الظروف المناسبة الغير متوفرة في النرويج ٬وطلبوا منه وقف العلاج والعودة للنرويج  رغم انه زودهم بالوثائق المطلوبة ورغم حالته الصحية الحرجة ٬حيث اعتبروا ان حالته غير حادة رغم التقارير الطبية التي ارسلها .
 مع العلم انها المرة الثانية التي يتكرر فيها هذا الامر الذي يصفه صديقه بالعنصري والظالم ٬حيث اجبروه سابقا علي وقف العلاج والعودة للنرويج في حالة صحية مزرية ٬ لكنه رفض هذه المرة وحاول الانتحار احتجاجا علي سلوك السلطات النرويجية اللانساني المتكرر .
ومن الجدير بالذكر انه اسباب الوضع الصحي السئ للكاتب تعود منذ سنوات لحرمان السلطات النرويجية للكاتب من حقوقه الابوية والدراسية والثقافية وسجنه عدة مرات لاسباب عنصرية ولاجباره علي وقف المطالبه بحقوقه .

Palestinian thinker Ali Toba survives suicide attempt

 Palestinian thinker Ali Abukhattab, also known as Ali Toubi, survived a suicide attempt while in Cairo, where he has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for approximately two months due to a  critical severe mental health crisis.

Abukhattab is currently in intensive care, receiving ongoing treatment and monitoring. When asked about the reasons for the suicide attempt, his friend, who took him to the hospital and declined to be named, informed us that Norwegian authorities refused to grant him an exception to continue his medical treatment in Cairo, where suitable conditions are available that are not in Norway. They demanded he discontinues treatment and return to Norway, despite his providing the required documents and his critical health condition. They considered his condition not severe, despite the medical reports he submitted.

This is the second time this has happened, a situation his friend describes as racist and unjust. Previously, they forced him to stop treatment and return to Norway in a deplorable state of health. This time, however, he refused and attempted suicide in protest against the repeated inhumane treatment by the Norwegian authorities. 
It is worth noting that the reasons for the writer’s poor health condition date back years to the Norwegian authorities depriving the writer of his parental, educational and cultural rights, and imprisoning him several times for racist reasons and to force him to stop demanding his rights.
